UGC NET 2026 (Results)

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will declare the UGC NET 2026 Results online on its official website – ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The Results is released separately for both cycles (June & December) after the completion of the exam and evaluation of answer scripts.

The Results is announced separately for each session

  • June 2026 session: Results will be declared in the third week of October 2026.
  • December 2026 session: Results will be announced in the first week of February 2027.

  2. Click on the "UGC NET 2026 Results" link on the homepage.
  3. Enter your application number/roll number and date of birth.
  4. Enter the security pin (captcha) if prompted.
  5. Download and print the scorecard for your records.

UGC NET 2026 Merit List

  • Prepared subject-wise and category-wise.
  • Top 6% of total candidates appearing in both papers and securing the qualifying marks are declared qualified.
  • Two lists are released:
    • Qualified for JRF + Assistant Professor
    • Qualified for Assistant Professor only

Normalization of Scores

Since UGC NET is held in multiple shifts, NTA uses the percentile-based normalization method to ensure fairness.

  • Percentile scores are calculated for each shift.
  • Final merit is based on normalized scores, not raw mark

Validity of UGC NET Results

  • JRF (Junior Research Fellowship): Valid for 3 years from the date of award (can be extended if a PhD is in progress).
  • Assistant Professor Eligibility: Valid for lifetime.
