The Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) is a national-level postgraduate entrance exam conducted annually by Symbiosis International (Deemed) University (SIU) for admission to MBA and PGDM programs across its 16–17 constituent institutes and several affiliated colleges in India. The exam is recognized for its speed-based format, challenging candidates to answer 60 multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes across three sections: General English, Quantitative-Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency, and Analytical & Logical Reasoning.

SNAP is held in computer-based mode in December, typically across three sessions, allowing candidates to appear in up to all three attempts, with the best score considered for admission. The test is conducted in over 80 cities nationwide and is open to graduates from any discipline, with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).

The application process is fully online, and candidates must also register separately for their preferred MBA programs. After clearing SNAP, shortlisted candidates undergo further selection rounds, including Group Exercise (GE), Personal Interview (PI), and Writing Ability Test (WAT), at the respective Symbiosis institutes. SNAP is widely regarded as a gateway to some of India’s top business schools and is known for its moderate to high competition level.

SNAP 2025 Preparation TipS

To excel in SNAP 2025, focus on a preparation strategy that emphasizes speed, accuracy, and familiarity with the exam structure. Here are expert-backed preparation tips:

Understand the Exam Pattern and Syllabus:

SNAP is a 60-minute test with 60 questions across General English, Analytical & Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative-Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency. Familiarize yourself with the detailed syllabus and weightage of each section.

Prioritize Time Management:

Since SNAP is speed-intensive, practice quick mental calculations and shortcut techniques. Allocate fixed daily study hours and create a balanced timetable that covers all sections.

Practice with Mocks and Previous Papers:

Regularly attempt full-length mock tests and analyze your performance to identify strengths and weaknesses. Mock tests help simulate real exam pressure and improve your speed and accuracy.

Section-wise Focus:

  • For General English, strengthen grammar, vocabulary, and sentence correction skills, as most questions are grammar-based.
  • In Quantitative Aptitude, focus on arithmetic and algebra, which have higher weightage than geometry. Don’t ignore data interpretation questions.
  • For Analytical & Logical Reasoning, practice diverse question types as this section has the maximum number of questions. Focus on puzzles, arrangements, and critical reasoning

Strategic Question Selection:

Attempt easier questions first and avoid spending too much time on difficult ones. There is no sectional time limit, so manage your time smartly.

Revision and Short Notes:

In the last month, revise all concepts, use summary notes, and practice with flashcards for quick recall.

Stay Motivated and Consistent:

Join online study groups, discuss doubts, and stay positive throughout your preparation journey
