My overall experience is quite vibrant in both personal and professional aspects. The reason I chose this university was its reputation as it has NIRF rankings, NAAC accreditation, etc. and affordability as it has scholarships, so the fee was comparitively lower than other institutes.

Campus Facilities: The infrastructure is top level. There are so many blocks in our campus (from A1 - A3, B1 - B5, C1 - C3, D1 - D6, etc). The lecture halls has projectors and ACs. The lab classes has computers, projectors, wifi, ACs etc. There are nearly 6 to 8 libraries in our campus. There are many academic books, self help books, fiction, journals, etc. Students have the access to library from 9.30 AM to 8.00 PM. There is SBI bank in our campus. There are 4 to 6 ATMs in the campus. There are so many clubs like CUEC, IEEE etc. There are so many campus facilities for various sports and training to students is provided. Many sports athletes from this university were in national team. The university provides residential facility. There are boys and girls hostel. There are 4 seater rooms for girls. There is lifts in hostels. The mess food quality is moderate. The students are served meals four times a day.
Campus Life: There are so many events which happens in this university. There is Freshers Day, which is held between August - September, Tech Invent which is usually held on November and CU fest , which is usually held between February - April. There are Dandiya Night, Tashan Nights, movie promotions etc. The celebrities are invited to these events especially from Punjabi film industry.
Faculty: The faculty student ratio is 2:25, which is quite manageable. The faculties are approachable and they clear the doubts and give guidance. The teaching is mostly relied on PPTs and Notes. Most of the students have a friendly relationship with the faculty members. This is student oriented university. They arrange meetings where students share the feedbacks and the university too respond accordingly with their actions.
Placements: The placement is one of the strongest aspect of this university. From 6th semester onwards, students become eligible for campus placements. From 4th semester, there is placement training program which makes students ready for interview and tests in placements. There are prominent companies which visited our university like Microsoft, Wipro, TCS etc. The highest package offered by a company is 54LPA and average placement generally goes around 6 to 8 LPA. 85% of eligible students got placements. As I am still in 2nd year, I have not enrolled for placements.
Salary Package: 6 - 8 Lakhs
Start Up Incubator: Yes, Chandigarh University has a startup incubator called CU TBI (Technology Business Incubator). It is a government recognized one which supports students in turning ideas to real business. It provides 18 month incubation program, mentorship from experts, funding and access to investors. Students get workspace, labs to develop prototypes, along with training. They also host events like Campus Tank and NIICS which connects students with top investors.
