The M.Sc. Physics course at JNU provides a sound academic background with emphasis both on theory as well as practice of the subject. The atmosphere is academic in nature, and students are motivated to carry out research, attend seminars, and engage in workshops also.

Campus Facilities: The science block has well-stocked physics experimental laboratories, computer facilities, and a reference book library with good research journals. Classrooms are neat, and majority of them are provided with projectors for digital classes.

Campus Life: JNU provides a good hostel facilities for boys and girls. The hostels are just at a walking distance from the academic blocks so it is very convenient for students who are attending regular classes and lab sessions.

Faculty: The professors are well qualified and experienced. They are friendly and supportive while providing guidance to students in projects, research papers, and education planning for higher studies.

Placements: Placement scope for pure science courses such as M.Sc. Physics is minimal in most of the universities. Yet in JNU, students pursue research, teaching, or competitive exams (such as NET, GATE, etc.) are given good academic assistance.
