ATMA (AIMS Test for Management Admissions)

ATMA 2026 Counselling

ATMA 2026 COUNSELLING

Following the results announcement, each participating institution will carry out its own counseling process.  Applications for ATMA Admission 2026 will be accepted from March 2026 for the February session.

There will be multiple rounds of counseling, including Personal Interview (PI), Written Ability Test (WAT), and Group Discussion (GD).  In order to gain admission to the programs and institutions they choose, candidates will need to take part in counseling rounds.

ATMA 2026 Counselling & Admission Process

  1. Post-Result Pathway

After the ATMA 2026 results are declared (typically within a week of the exam), admission procedures commence. Each participating college initiates its selection process by shortlisting candidates based on ATMA scores and cutoffs.

  1. Cutoffs and Shortlisting

  • Each institute defines its own cutoff percentile based on applicant pool, difficulty level, and seat availability.
  • Shortlisted candidates are then eligible for the next steps in the selection process.
  1. Selection Rounds by Institutes

While AIMS conducts the ATMA exam, the actual counselling and selection processes are managed by the individual institutes, typically involving:

  • Group Discussion (GD): Assesses communication, reasoning, leadership, and group dynamics.
  • Written Ability Test (WAT): Evaluates writing clarity, grammar, expression, and logical thinking.
  • Personal Interview (PI): Examines academic background, awareness, personality traits, and communication.
  1. Modes of Counselling

  • Online Components: Registration and seat allotment statuses are generally handled online by the institutes.
  • Offline Components: GD, WAT, PI rounds, and document verification are conducted in person at designated centres.
  1. Seat Allotment

Seat allocation is based on a composite assessment:

  • ATMA score
  • Performance in GD, WAT, and PI
  • Additional factors: academic background, work experience, gender diversity, etc
